Summer Twenty Twenty

The summer of 2020 was a lot different than any summer I had lived through. For the first time in 9 years, I was able to truly experience and explore a Pacific Northwest summer. Twenty-Four nights sleeping in a tent in 5 different campgrounds over 4 months. I hiked over 100 miles, biked and paddle boarded. I spent hours in the car or on a boat and days at the beach, the lake, in a rainforest, and on a mountain top. In some ways, 2020 was the worst summer I've had to endure, yet in more ways, it was one the best summers I’ve ever lived. I often focus on exploring parts of the country by plane and forget how magical and diverse the environment is within 3-4 hours of my own home.
