South in the Winter

Possibly my longest time away from Portland since moving to the Northwest… I packed up the family plus dog and we headed south for a winter weekend getaway. We made a couple of tax-free clothing purchases, spent a couple of hours within Powell’s Books, and took the long way home via Long Beach, Wa. In the dark quiet months of the northwest, exploring ‘next door’ is a luxury I will not take for granted.
