Big Four
A long-overdue visit to the Big Four Ice Caves in the Cascades, with waterfalls, icy sheets, and enthusiastic kids.
The kids were thrilled to explore the Big Four Ice Caves, clambering over the icy sheets with merriment. Their enjoyment helped conceal the atmosphere of the copious tourists and faux influencers that was the afternoon. On the far side of one of the caves, a cascading waterfall plunged into a pool of crystal-clear water, its mesmerizing sound and delicate spray adding to the enchantment of the scene. I had wanted to visit this hidden gem for years, and now I simply feel satisfied.
