Solar Eclipse 2.0

My vote was for snowboarding this spring break, but the family had other plans. They missed out on the "Great American Eclipse" in 2017, which I got to see, so the trip to Texas for the solar eclipse took priority. With logistics in my hands, I decided to do things differently this time. Instead of the peaceful, secluded viewing I had before, I chose to experience the eclipse in the middle of a vast crowd.

I managed to secure tickets to a Vampire Weekend concert in Austin, which was taking place during the total eclipse. The concert was incredible, and though clouds threatened to block the view, there were 30 magical seconds when the sky cleared just enough to get a glimpse of totality. Being in the Bible Belt, it felt biblical.

My advice: if you ever have the chance to witness a total solar eclipse, don't miss it. Whether in the quiet of a forest or surrounded by thousands, experience it, it's truly magical.
